France Unveils Shortlist for 2025 Best International Feature Film Candidate

France has unveiled its shortlist of films that will be competing to be the country's submission for the Best International Feature Film category at the 2025 Academy Awards.

The nine films on the shortlist are:

• Saint Omer by Alice Diop
• The Eight Mountains by Felix van Groeningen and Charlotte Vandermeersch
• Brother and Sister by Arnaud Desplechin
• Pacifiction by Albert Serra
• Winter Boy by Christophe Honoré
• Full Time by Eric Gravel
• Tori and Lokita by Jean-Pierre and Luc Dardenne
• The Worst Ones by Lise Akoka and Romane Gueret
• Rodeo by Lola Quivoron

The films were selected by a committee of French film professionals, including directors, producers, actors, and critics.

The committee will now vote to select the final film that will represent France at the Oscars.

The 2025 Academy Awards will be held on March 12, 2025.
