EUCLID, Ohio – Amazon’s new fulfillment center in Euclid is officially open for business. The center is located at 26777 Euclid Avenue and will provide 1,500 new jobs to the area. The center is Amazon’s third in Northeast Ohio, joining existing facilities in Akron and Twinsburg.
The center is over 650,000 square feet and will be used to store and ship a variety of items, including books, electronics, and household goods. Amazon says the center will allow it to offer faster shipping times to customers in the Euclid area and surrounding communities.
The center is expected to have a major economic impact on the Euclid area. The company says it will invest $150 million in the center and will create 1,500 new jobs. The jobs will be a mix of full-time and part-time positions and will include roles in operations, customer service, and human resources.
Amazon is a major employer in Ohio, with over 10,000 employees statewide. The company has invested over $1 billion in the state and has created over 5,000 new jobs in the past year.
